Since the late 1970s, he has been engaged in the research and development of precious and rare traditional Chinese medicinal materials and edible fungi. So far, he has successively presided over 70-plus national, provincial and municipal key scientific research projects, including "Study on the Breeding and Industrialization of New Varieties of Dendrobium Officinale Stem", "Study on Breeding and Cultivation Techniques of Improved Varieties of Ganoderma Lucidum", "Research and Development of New Sporoderm-Broken Technologies for Ganoderma Lucidum Spore Powder". More than ten achievements by him have filled in the gap in China and reache the world-class level. He has been granted 14 national patents for invention and is the winner of one Award for Great Contributions to the Formulation of International Standards, one second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, one second prize and one excellent award of the Science and Technology Award of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, one second prize of the Scientific Research Achievement Award of Shennong China Agricultural Science and Technology Award of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, one second prize of the Technical Innovation Award of Zhejiang Province, three second prizes and three third prizes of the Science and Technology Award of Zhejiang Province and four first prizes of the Science and Technology Award of Jinhua City. He has edited and co-edited more than ten monographs, such as Chinese Magic Herb - Ganoderma Lucidum, the Clinical Application of Sporoderm-broken Ganoderma Lucidum Spore Powder, the Herbal Paste Recipe, the Saffron Production Encyclopaedia, the Practical Cultivation Technology of Rare Fungi, the Encyclopedia of Agricultural Practical Technology, the Encyclopedia of Beneficial Agronomy and the Wuyi Longevity Valley TCM Processing Techniques. He has published more than 40 articules in national journals.
